This is a shocking incident that happened in my life and because of the carelessness of a doctor, I loosed my daughter. Here I would like to discuss with you this nightmare happened in my life on November 29th 2009. Imanae, my three year old daughter poured hot water on her hand. When I saw this, I and my wife immediately took her to the Hospital and Medical Center, which is located in the Johar Town (Lahore). Even though it was just a minor burn, I and my wife decided to take my kid to hospital as she was crying with great pain.
At the hospital we were not able to find a doctor and we met a staff of the emergency ward. The staff started the first aid treatment by applying ointment of Imanae’s wrist and gave her an injection that will numb the pain. Even after the injection Imanae was continued crying and went and called the duty doctor. The doctor was asleep and had woken up just when the nurse called him. This doctor did not show any type of interest in doing proper treatment to my daughter and he just told the same nurse to give another injection. Even after the second shot, my daughter kept crying.
15 minutes later, the same doctor ordered the nurse to give one more injection for Imanae. In total, these murderers injected around 5mg anesthetic on my daughter’s body. After the third injection, I saw my baby silent and she began to lose her consciousness. Before she made a complete move, Imanae started called me said that everything was becoming blurry and she was not able to see anything clearly. But I did not come to know that these words she told me will be the last words that I will be able to hear from her mouth.
Finally, after some times a doctor told me that my daughter was having trouble while breathing. As the hospital did not have baby ventilator we were forced to carry our daughter to the Children’s hospital. As the situation was becoming worse, we asked the doctor to send a doctor or an ambulance with us. But, we did not get any type of facilities from this hospital. So, I decided to take my daughter in my car, but I was not able to reach the hospital own time. Because of the carelessness of this educated monsters, I lost my child, my life.……
It is not only me who is facing this type of problems with the hospitals and doctors. If you look around you or step into a near by hospital, you will be able to see many parents who are facing the same problems. However, I have decided to take the right steps and fight against these killers. If you are with me, you can also fight against them and save the life of many people.
